2020-05-17
This challenge is opened to any member that would like to contribute to the ArmMe's development. ArmMe is an experimental organization which mean that everything has to be built. For instance, your feedbacks on the ArmMe website will be precious to improve the users experience. If you need new features or you find some don't bring the expecting value, this is the place where your voice will be valuable. We are open to any contribution, partnership, ideas that would help ArmMe to realize its purpose, develop and achieve its goals. Volunteering is a great experience to both share what you know and learn from others. One of the main characteristic of innovators is their appetite to learn new things, their curiosity. It supposes to develop an open minded spirit where others opinions count. Sure you will surprise us with insightful propositions. It is not the case that every suggestion might be integrated but each of them will be discussed and will enter the Variability Selection Retention process that should be at the core of every innovative organization. Becoming a team member of that challenge will give you the opportunity to experience that VSR process live. Jump. It is fun...

What area did you prefer while visiting the ArmMe's website?
Focus on users needs is critical for an organization. It avoids to spend time where there isn't any interest from users. On the other hand, to identify which functionality brings added value allows to develop and improve them. This is the goal of this metric. Here we want to catch what members most appreciated in the site. Choosing a category will not mean that it doesn't need improvement but will help to focus next features developments, prioritazing areas where members got traction with.
This metric is interactive. You can update it adding a value. You can also add a comment. For instance, if one of the features you most liked is not on the list. It could then give the opportunity to add it to test traction on that specific point. You can like the comment so that it will be seen by much more people. It is a good way to promote your pools in the site while you manage a challenge. The more members like the KPI, the more you will get data. You can add the KPI to your Dashboard if you want to follow its eveolution over time easily. Be creative and thanks for participating.

How did you find the "My Space" page?
The "My Space" page is central for users. This is the place where you can modify your profile, read members messages. You can manage the challenges you created, teamed with or followed. You can also manage Updates, KPIs and comments. Experiencing that page, you might have noticed areas of improvement or features that are not so simple to handle with. This metric is here to define which part of the "My Space" page needs improvement first. Thanks to evaluate each part in comparaison of others.
If you think "ArmMails" is OK but "My Dashboard" confusing you may put 6 on the "ArmMails" category and 3 in the "My Dashboard" one. Values have to be from 1 to 10. And your scores would be averaged with the previous ones. This way you can see live the result of your contribution among others. In the comment area, you can explain your marks so that it will be easier to transform your point of view into actions. In innovation qualitative data are often very appreciable against quantitative ones. Thanks in advance for your contribution. Be fair.

One of the ArmMe's target is to gather people that have a willingness to change the world for better. Joining ArmMe will give them the possibility to contribute to design actions, products and services that would serve the entire humanity. This KPI is here to follow how ArmMe's purpose spreads. Even if having members is not an end in itself, it is an important milestone. Without contributors this adventure would have no sense. ArmMe is an opportunity to make a breakthrough to implement new paradigms. It is something that needs to be build in a collective way. Let's start...
I will update the metric each week. I do not want to fall into the trap of the vanity metrics describe in the book "Lean Start-up" written by Eric Ries. ArmMe is a non-profit organization and will not spend any money in advertisements. Only members, ArmMe's publications on social networks will be at the origine of new memberships. This is the reason why I consider this is a good KPI. It must show how people are concerned. Then on the Dashboard page you can see the repartition by countries. The language barrier may be a bias but to start with I hope english would help to break borders.

Does the content interest visitors? In the long run, the content, the quality of the members and their activities will make a difference. One of the ArmMe's target is to make the experience to change the world interactive so that it would be give everyone the opportunity to realize what he is in what he does, to forge his person in the proof of its contribution to a better world. ArmMe is not a top down organization. I am convinced that any organization needs a architecture and routines to reach its targets but culture and people makes the difference. Welcome!
Again, vanity metrics are not useful but if there is traction in what ArmMe and its members do then the metric will go in a good direction. Members will not have any incentive and any paid campaign will be organized. I expect only organic growth. If the value proposition doesn't attract then serious problems would arise. I cannot imagine to leave in such a world. Would you?
