How might we help ArmMe to implement a disruptive global supply chain designed for low carbon?

Transport has become an essential component of almost all modern activity: in a century and a half, the exchange of goods has multiplied by 1000 on the surface of the globe. In Western societies, there is hardly an industrial or agricultural activity which is purely local, without the use of a means of transport between the place of production and the place of consumption. Since 1950, trade on international markets has increased by almost 30 times in volume according to the Center for Strategic Analysis. This development is not without consequences for energy needs and the environment. Road transport predominates all over the world and its energy consumption rose from 600 million tonnes of oil equivalent (Mtoe) in 1971 to 1,630 Mtoe in 2005 according to the report by Global Chance Towards the road. Air transport comes in second position with an energy consumption which went from 113 Mtoe in 1971 to 235 Mtoe and which is experiencing significant growth. All transport by boat, completely dependent on oil, reached in 2005 a final consumption of 206 Mtoe, just behind air transport. The target here is not to find alternative means but to avoid them or to disrupt the ways we use them.
A bit of maths and physics: Impact of the weight on car gasoline consumption
Rest assured, nothing too difficult... Only basic data.
In 2019, the average weight of a car increased by 10 kg reaching 1240 kg (France - ADEME). The fuel consumption of a passenger car increases by 5% when the vehicle load increases by 100 kg. It means that, as an average, increasing the weight by 8% increases the consomption by 5%. If we consider that the average car consumption is 10 liters per 100 km, to carry 100 kg for 100 km in a car represents a consumption of 0,8 liter or a marginal cost of approximatively 1 euro. To compare, if you were to use a standard company to carry 10 kg for 100 km the lowest cost would approach 10 euro. It is 100 times more... There is enough room to make some reasonable money for that type of service! Then, if you understood the concept of marginal pollution cost you will agree on the fact that if you were to travel that distance anyway, only the marginal cost and environmental impact has to be considered. You wouldn't have bought a car to do that specific activity neither put resources specifically which is not the case for transportation companies. Then, it is better to travel loaded than unloaded to use efficiently the resources we already have. Let's imagine the logistics going with that...
